(A gentle reminder that 9:59am or earlier emails will not be looked at as we want this process to be fair and equal for all, thank you!)

Note: The start time is the time we want to be departing your pick up location.

In Nov/Dec, it's dark at 4:30pm. 31 years of these FUN tours, so we know!

Nov/Dec Holiday Light Tour Times:

5:00pm to 6:00pm, 

6:30pm to 7:30pm, 

8:00pm to 9:00pm and 

9:30pm to 10:30pm

(Note: 9:30pm tours "might" have some homes that are turned off. Naperville Trolley will do our best to show you as many highly decorated and lit up homes that we can during your tour time, but can not predict some of the homeowners hours of being lit. Our 31 years experience is that "most" homes stay lit until 11:00pm.)

Yes, you can book two consecutive time slots if you want! Many do, and take the "COMBO" tour of lights! (Free half hour in between the two booked time-slots is on us.)

DATES Private Tours are offered: Friday, November 27, 2026 - Sunday, December 28, 2026. 

(Closed on Christmas 12/25/26)

Pricing: 

$425/hour+$75/driver gratuity = $500 all in on November 30, & December 1, 2, 7, 8, 9, 2026.

$500/hour tour+$100/driver gratuity = $600 all in on November 27, 28, 29, December 3, 4, 5, 6, & December 10 through December 28, 2026 (with the exception of Christmas Eve).

December 24, Christmas Eve: $500/our tour+$150/driver gratuity = $650 all in.

(Extra gratuity for your driver, who could be home, but chose to Trolley-la-la-la with you all!)

After May 20, 2026, once I have processed all of the reservations that came in between May 1 and May 19, I will list each date and time of what is still available to book here.

If a DIRECTION is listed after a time, (N, S, or E) that means we can only book a tour in that part of town due to logistics from other tours booked before/after that one.

What IS a Private Booking: A private booking is when you book a Trolley all to yourself for your group to enjoy a light tour.

Each Trolley can hold up to 30 guests. Every heartbeat from one day old to 99 years young counts as one in the count. Private Bookings can have from two to 30 on board (but you don't have to fill it to the maximum). Up to you! The entire Trolley is YOURS for the hour(s) that you booked. 

No food or candy of any kind allowed on Trolley. Drinks with a lid are ok to bring on board. 

Because of timing and logistics, we only pick up in Naperville for our October Light Tours and Nov/Dec Holiday Light Trolley Tours.

BUS Parking for a private tour is available at:

Northern Tour = Gemato's Restaurant = 1566 W. Ogden Ave., Naperville.

Southern Tour = case by case. Please ask restaurant where you want to meet if a bus is allowed if taking the southern tour.

Eastern Tour = Freedom Brothers Restaurant = 1293 N. Naper Blvd., Naperville

Northern Tour has a pick up north of 75th and most homes we visit are north of 75th.

Gemato's = 1566 W. Ogden Ave., Naperville is a great northern pick up location for private tours. 

Southern tour has a pick up south of 75th and most homes we visit are south of 75th.

Eastern tour has a pick up east of Washington and has some homes that we visit on the north, some on the south, and some on the east sides of town. (The eastern tour will not see "all" of the homes on the northern tour nor "all" of the homes on the southern tour as we add a lot from the east side. A fun mix!)

Want to try a new tour than years past? Then please provide a new address in the tour area you want to try! A lot of groups pick up at local restaurants, coffee shops, and even parking lots to enjoy a different route than years past!

We do not allow a "southern" pick up address to have northern tour. If you want a northern tour, we must pick you up north of 75th. Same theory applies to southern and eastern pick up addresses.

SOME Naperville Addresses are just too far out of our pick up range. Our goal at Naperville Trolley is to give you the BEST tour of the lights in the hour's time. We recommend your pick up address be NEAR (or inside) the boarders of : On or south of Ogden Avenue, east of Route 59, north of 95th Street, and west of Naper Blvd. Yes, we pick up at Naperville homes beyond those streets, and will discuss pick up locations on a case by case basis with you. This is why we have specific tours lined up "Northern, Southern, and Eastern"

We also have to see how your tour time fits with the tours that have already booked before and/or after yours. Thank you for your understanding in this very important part of logistics with the tours. 

To book a Private Holiday Lights Trolley Tour, (use the "copy/paste" below, and add your information then email us) please email us us on or after 5/1/26 at or after 10:00am CST the following: Three tour date/times in order of preference, contract name of person that will be signing the contract, email address that you/they monitor, mailing address with zip code for contract, cell, is lift needed, number of Trolleys, and Naperville pick up address.

We pick up at most Naperville addresses. We will confirm availability, get you in the book, and send you the contract via email within a week of confirmation to read, sign and return with your $300 engagement fee. The balance is then due one month before your event date. Any private Holiday Light Trolley Tours booked on or after 9/1/26 will be paid in full with signed contract.

Driver gratuity is added to all Private Tours.

Payment: Do not pay until you have a contract emailed to you. The signed contract is returned with the payment. Electronic signatures on the contract are accepted, as long as they are signed by the contract holder name listed.

Checks or cash are preferred payment. No fee's are added to checks or cash payments. $500 stays $500 due, and $600 stays $600 due.

Business Venmo: @napervilletrolley has 2% fee so $500 becomes $510 due, and $600 becomes $612 due. Should you choose to pay with Business Venmo, please note the tour date/time on the transaction note when you send it. Thank you!

Credit Card Payments: You must email me that you want to pay with a CC so I can send you an E-Invoice from our QuickBooks. $500 becomes $525 due, and $600 becomes $630 due.

Engagement Fee is non-refundable and non-transferrable.

(Public/individual Holiday Light Trolley Tour reservations may be booked via the "Book Public tours" button starting on 8/1/26 and are priced per person, all ages.)

A PRIVATE BOOKING is when you book the entire Trolley for yourself. 

Examples include a Private Birthday Party, Corporate event, Neighborhood Fun, House Walk, Wedding Anniversary, "This is your Life" Tour, Trolley to/from dinner on the town, Private Historic Tour of Naperville, Church Group FUN, Class Reunion Tour, School Dance, Private Halloween Lights Tour, your "Fun Idea", and our infamous Private Holiday Light Tour in November & December. 

In January and February, we will book but only a week before your event date as we want to make sure it's not going to be 20 below zero on your event date.

Each Trolley can board up to 30 guests, but that doesn't mean you have to fill it all the way. Private Bookings are by the hour, not the number of guests on board.

We have a one hour minimum "to" your event and if you want us to pick you up later, a one hour minimum "from". Travel time/fuel fee if any stops are outside of Naperville. Our one-hour minimum booking is a solid one hour booking and the hour can not be spilt up into smaller units. One hour bookings begin at $425/hour plus 18% driver gratuity, 20% driver gratuity 9:00pm and later.

Non light tour charter rates change at 9:00pm to $600 per hour with two hour minimum plus 20% driver gratuity (and travel time/fuel fee if outside of Naperville). We will only stay on past 9:00pm with earlier hours booked as well.

A lot of groups book the Trolley to get them "to" the fun then ride-share home as everyone leaves the party at different times. We can send you a quote for your Special Trolley FUN! 

Weddings are also a Private Booking, have a three hour minimum, and a travel time/fuel fee if we are Trolleying outside of Naperville. We block from noon to 6:30pm on Saturday's for Weddings/3 hour minimum bookings. Visit our Wedding tab for more details on Weddings.  

Every age counts as "one" person on board, even babies. Can you imagine a Trolley with 10 lap babies added to the count? Neither can we. We have rules we must follow and in those rules, every heartbeat = one person, no matter what age or how small they are. 

Once a date/time has been confirmed, a contract will be emailed to you to review, sign, and return with a non-refundable engagement fee check. Your balance will be due one month before your event date. Should you wish to pay with credit card, 5% processing and handling fee is added to any amount charged. Business Venmo has a 2% fee. We prefer checks so no fee's are charged.
