Private November/December Holiday Lights Private Trolley Tours for 2023 begin booking via email requests on or after 10:00am CST on MAY 1, 2023, and continue throughout the year!
What IS a Private Charter: A private charter is when you book a Trolley all to yourself for your group to enjoy a light tour.
Each Trolley can hold up to 30 guests. Every heartbeat from one day old to 99 years young counts as one in the count. Private Charters can have from two to 30 on board (but you don't have to fill it to the maximum). Up to you! The entire Trolley is YOURS for the hour(s) that you booked.
No food or candy of any kind allowed on Trolley. Drinks with a lid are ok to bring on board.
Because of timing and logistics, we only pick up in Naperville for October and Nov/Dec Holiday Light Trolley Tours.
Northern Tour has a pick up north of 75th and most homes we visit are north of 75th.
Southern tour has a pick up south of 75th and most homes we visit are south of 75th.
Eastern tour has a pick up east of Washington and has some homes that we visit on the north, some on the south, and some on the east sides of town. (The eastern tour will not see "all" of the homes on the northern tour nor "all" of the homes on the southern tour as we add a lot from the east side. A fun mix!)
SOME Naperville Addresses are just too far out of our pick up range. Our goal at Naperville Trolley is to give you the BEST tour of the lights in the hour's time. We recommend your pick up address be NEAR (or inside) the boarders of : On or south of Ogden Avenue, east of Route 59, north of 95th Street, and west of Naper Blvd. Yes, we pick up at Naperville homes beyond those streets, and will discuss pick up locations on a case by case basis with you. This is why we have specific tours lined up "Northern, Southern, and Eastern"
We also have to see how your tour time fits with the tours that have already booked before and/or after yours. Thank you for your understanding in this very important part of logistics with the tours.

How do I book a Private Charter?
(STEP BY STEP SUMMARY OF THIS AT BOTTOM)
On or after 10:00am CST on May 1, 2023:
Email: annette@napervilletrolley.com
All emails are answered in order that they were received.
No early emails will be accepted or processed.
Include up to three choices, in order of preference:
Date, Time, Naperville pick up address, and number of Trolleys you are requesting, as well as the name of the person that will be signing the contract, mailing address with zip code, and cell number.
Pick up location is VERY important as we have logistics we are working with. If unsure, at the minimum, we need "north of 75th", "south of 75th" or "east of Washington Street" in order to make the reservation. Sorry, we can't pick up on one side of 75th and head to the other unless you are just one block away from 75th street.
Include at least THREE tour time choices, in order of preferences.
This way, if your first choice is not available, we can see how your second choice fits, then third. Otherwise, I have to email you back that your choice was not available and to send more, which puts your reply email at the back of the very long email list.
Please let us know if you need a Trolley with a wheelchair lift.
Annette will reply to your email within 24 hours (and usually a lot faster than that) that you are "in the book" on Date/Time/Northern or Southern or Eastern tour.
THEN
Your contract will be EMAILED to you. If you do not see an email within a week of a confirmed reservation, please contact us. Many email systems send things into junk or spam, so please check your junk or spam file. If you do not return your contract that was emailed to you by stated due date written on your contract with your engagement fee check in the amount of $250.00, you may lose your reservation.
After October 1, payment in full is required to be returned with your signed contract.
Checks are preferred and any credit card requests have 5% processing and handling added to any amount charged.
(The balance is due one month before your tour date of you booked before October 1st.)
Driver gratuity is included on all Private Charter bookings.
Standard Cancellation Terms for Private Charters:
Standard cancellation terms are as follows: Monies paid (excluding the Engagement Fee) will be refunded upon cancellation prior to the event date as follows: at least 120 days or more before event date - 75%, 90-119 days before event date - 50%, 60-89 days before event date - 25%, 59 days or less before event date - no refund.
Engagement Fee is non-refundable and non-transferrable.
SUMMARY OF HOW TO MAKE YOUR PRIVATE HOLIDAY LIGHT TOUR TROLLEY RESERVATION:
1. Email us on or after 10:00am CST on Monday, May 1, 2023: annette@napervilletrolley.com
(No early emails will be accepted. No phone calls accepted.)
2. Include THREE date/time choices in order of preference.

3. Include the number of Trolleys you are requesting. (one, two, or three. Each can hold up to 30, but you don't have to fill it).
Please let us know if you need a Trolley with a wheelchair lift.
4. Include contract name of person that will be signing the contract, mailing address with zip code, cell, AND Naperville pick up address on tour night. If you don't know that address, at the minimum, you must let us know if it will be:
North of 75th Street
South of 75th Street
East of Washington Street
as we have scheduling logistics we must work with.
5. Annette will reply to all requests within 24 hours, and most likely much sooner than 24 hours.
6. Annette will confirm the date/time that you are "in the book" in her reply.
7. Annette will email you the contract within a week of the tour date/time confirmed with her. If you do not return it on time, your reservation will be deleted and the time slot offered to others.
8. You will return your two-page signed contract and $250.00 engagement fee check by the date noted on the contract.
If reservation was booked after October 1st, payment in full will be returned with signed contract.
(Credit card payments can be requested and have 5% processing and handling added so your $250.00 will be $262.50, so we prefer a check to avoid fee's. Thank you!)
9. You will pay the balance due one month before your tour date of you made your reservation prior to 10/1/23.
10. Annette will keep in touch via emails, and send you your driver's name and cell a few days before your tour date.
11. You will have a FUN TIME with your friends, family, co-workers, guests on your Naperville Trolley Holiday Light's Tour!
12. You will note 5/1/24 at 10:00am CST in your calendar to email us to make your reservation for 2024.

A PRIVATE CHARTER is when you book the entire Trolley for yourself.
Examples include a Private Birthday Party, Corporate event, Neighborhood Fun, House Walk, Wedding Anniversary, "This is your Life" Tour, Trolley to/from dinner on the town, Private Historic Tour of Naperville, Church Group FUN, Class Reunion Tour, School Dance, Private Halloween Lights Tour, your "Fun Idea", and our infamous Private Holiday Light Tour in November & December.
Each Trolley can board up to 30 guests, but that doesn't mean you have to fill it all the way. Private Charters are by the hour, not the number of guests on board.
We have a one hour minimum and/or "to" your event and if you want us to pick you up later, a one hour minimum "from". Travel time/fuel fee if any stops are outside of Naperville. Our one-hour minimum booking is a solid one hour booking and the hour can not be spilt up into smaller units. One hour bookings begin at $400/hour+18% driver gratuity, 20% driver gratuity 8:00pm and later.
Non light tour charter rates change at 9:00pm to $600 per hour with two hour minimum plus 20% driver gratuity (and travel time/fuel fee if outside of Naperville). We will only stay on past 9:00pm with earlier hours booked as well.
A lot of groups book the Trolley to get them "to" the fun then ride-share home as everyone leaves the party at different times. We can send you a quote for your Special Trolley FUN!
Weddings are also a Private Charter booking, have a three hour minimum, and a travel time/fuel fee if we are Trolleying outside of Naperville. We block from noon to 7:00pm on Saturday's for Weddings/3 hour bookings. Visit our Wedding tab for more details on Weddings.
Every age counts as "one" person on board, even babies. Can you imagine a Trolley with 10 lap babies added to the count? Neither can we. We have rules we must follow and in those rules, every heartbeat = one person, no matter what age or how small they are.
Once a date/time has been confirmed, a contract will be emailed to you to review, sign, and return with a non-refundable engagement fee check. Your balance will be due one month before your tour date. Should you wish to pay with credit card, 5% processing and handling fee is added to any amount charged. We prefer checks.
